Wildlife sightings for 22nd September 2022

5 Stonechat on the grazing marsh with 1 Whinchat amongst them. All feeding along grassy banks.

1 Green Sandpiper - reservoir lagoon

1 Snipe - reservoir lagoon

20+ Wigeon - reservoir lagoon, main lake

30+ Chiff Chaff - feeding in sallow all around the reserve

A lot of winter migrant species on the move. We are seeing an increased number of Teal, Shoveler, Gadwall and Wigeon settling down and feeding on the main lake, reservoir lagoon and sheltered lagoon.

Lizards still basking around wildside.

Good numbers of song thrush appearing in scrubby areas.

Dragonflies/Damselflies: Common Blue Damselfly, Common Darter, Willow Emerald Damselfly, Ruddy Darter, Migrant Hawker, Brown Hawker.
