Wildlife sightings for 24th July 2024
Green Sandpipers on the scrape and main lake. Young Terns feeding on main lake

8 Common Tern (3 adult, 3 immature, 2 juvenile) - main lake
12 Teal - scrape, reservoir lagoon, main lake

3 Swallow - feeding over main lake a.m.
Sedge Warblers, Cetti's Warblers and Reed Warblers can be found in the reedbed, any reed fringes and scrubby edges of the marsh, reservoir lagoon and main lake. Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs are active in the scrublands of wildside, south route and sheltered lagoon.
Dragonflies: (July surveys) Norfolk Hawker, Emperor, Black-tailed Skimmer, Lesser Emperor, Common Darter, Small red-eyed Damselfly, Blue-tailed Damselfly, Common Blue Damselfly, Red-eyed Damselfly, Azure Damselfly, Willow Emerald Damselfly.
Butterflies: (July surveys) Comma, Brimstone, Large White, Small White, Green-veined White, Meadow Brown, Gatekeeper, Marbled White, Speckled Wood, Red Admiral, Large Skipper, Small Skipper, Essex Skipper, Small Copper.
