Wildlife sightings for 27th April 2022

Ring Ouzel flew from centre buildings towards main lake. Influx of Reed Warbler overnight, plus Swallow, Bar-tailed Godwits and Common Sandpiper spotted

1 Ring Ouzel (female) - briefly by the centre buildings then flew towards main lake/marsh direction 11.05hrs

1 Common Sandpiper - main lake

2 Bar-tailed Godwit - main lake

1 Little Egret - scrape

2 Oystercatcher - main lake

5 Swallow - main lake, reservoir lagoon

50+ Reed Warbler - reedbed, reservoir lagoon, sheltered lagoon, main lake, south route, wildside

5 Sedge Warbler - marsh, main lake, reservoir lagoon, sheltered lagoon(2)

17 Blackcap - across the whole site

4 Chiffchaff - sheltered lagoon, wildside, world wetlands, entrance lake

23 Cetti's Warbler - across the whole site

Butterflies: Small White, Brimstone, Peacock, Small Tortoishell, Comma, Holly Blue, Large White, Orange Tip, Speckled Wood.

Dragonflies: Hairy Dragonfly.

Flowering plants: Jack-by-the-hedge, Bugle, Ramsones, Bluebell, Marsh Marigold, Lesser Celandine, Herb Robert, Cuckoo-flower, Daisy, Dandelion, Rowan, Hawthorn, Hazel.
