Wildlife Sightings May 10
Spotted this morning
From the Ramsar and Sand Martin hide: A marsh harrier, black-headed gulls, tufted duck, Canada & greylag geese, shoveller (2), gadwall, lapwings, reed warbler, pochard, oystercatcher, Cetti’s Warbler.
On Wetland Discovery area: Pochard, tufted duck. Plants in flower: ragged robin, cowslip, marsh marigold.
From the Lapwing Hide: lapwing (chicks), reed warbler, gadwall.
From the Scrape Hide: black-headed gulls, gadwall, shelduck, tufted duck, shoveler (2)
In the reedbed from the boardwalk: Cetti’s , sedge and reed warblers, wren, chaffinch, tufted duck, chiff chaff, water vole.
In the Woodland Loop: chaffinch, chiff chaff, goldfinch, song thrush, wren, tree creeper.
On Arun Riverlife in front of the cafe windows: Lapwing & 5 chicks, black-headed gulls, pied wagtail, common sandpiper, coots, pochard, tufted duck, shelduck, gadwall.
