Wildlife update, Sunday Feb 19th

A better day weather-wise so far, but probably little change bird-wise, though I did see large nos. of Pinkfeet high up heading north on my way into work early this morning. Lots of small Barnacle Goose flocks around the hides, one of which held the hybrid Snow/Barnacle. The long-staying Green-winged Teal is once more easily seen on The Folly Pond. Lots of birdsong today, notably Chaffinch and Song Thrush. Just off the reserve at the mouth of the River Nith there is a good evening gull roost, with at least one Mediterranean amongst them...

Todays high tide is at 18:00, 7.2m
