A fantastic morning of visible migration on the reserve, with Great White Egret over West, 150+ Redwing South/South West and Redshank on the wader scrape just some of the highlights.

Flowering plants: (early/ late September) Broad-leaved Helleborine, Common Fleabane, Curled Pondweed, Dwarf Mallow, Greater Bird's-foot Trefoil, Harebell, Orange Foxtail, Pepper Saxifrage, Lesser Bulrush, Water Bent, Water Dock, Water Mint (see photo below), Meadow Saffron, Common Toadflax, Devil's-bit Scabious, Enchanter's Nightshade, Galingale, Autumn Squill.
