WWT Arundel wins a Silver Award for Accessible & Inclusive Tourism
WWT Arundel Wetland Centre are very proud to have won the Silver Award for Accessible & Inclusive Tourism at the Beautiful South Tourism Awards! These prestigious awards that celebrate the outstanding achievements of tourism businesses and experiences across the South East were held at The Grand in Brighton on Tues 12 Dec, 2023.
This Silver Award recognises that WWT Arundel Wetland Centre is a memorable visitor experience - particularly for those with accessibility requirements. We have worked on improving our accessibility over the last few years by opening a Changing Places facility and producing an Accessibility Guide. These changes bolster our existing accessible boat safari, automatic doors, paved pathways and our flexible education programs that adapt for all school visitors.
The Accessible & Inclusive Tourism award category was sponsored by VisitBrighton, the official tourism body for the city of Brighton & Hove. They manage the - www.visitbrighton.com website, the number one website for the city, as well as the official Visit Brighton Contact Centre and Visitor Information Points.
