WWT has first film entry to Wildscreen Festival
WWT has, for the first time, had a film entry accepted into the Wildscreen Festival – one of the most prestigious and influential events in the wildlife and environmental filmmaking industry.
The WWT Saving the Madagascar Pochard film follows a conservation team working to save the world’s most endangered duck, and tracks their highs and lows collecting eggs, transporting them across difficult terrain and, finally, hatching a brood of adorable, unimaginably precious ducklings.
The film, and indeed the project, wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our members and those who have donated to the appeal. If you haven’t already, you can watch the film below.
The festival is giving an exclusive discount to WWT members to save 10% off the Week Festival Pass (Sun-Fri). To obtain this discount, simply use the code WWT10% when booking your pass on the Wildscreen website.
Wildscreen Festival takes place over six days this October in Bristol. It is well-known for its thought-provoking content and speakers and the week’s events, talks and debates tackle a range of issues driven by predominant themes, innovations and challenges in the wildlife and environmental film industry.
Look forward to the following and more:
- Over 100 separate events
- Thought provoking talks & debates
- Stunning film programme & free public screenings
- Workshops & masterclasses
