WWT’s response to the Round Britain Climate Challenge incident
We are extremely sad to hear about the incident involving Sacha Dench and Dan Burton during the Round Britain Climate Challenge with Conservation Without Borders.
We are extremely sad to hear about the incident involving Sacha Dench and Dan Burton during the Round Britain Climate Challenge with Conservation Without Borders.
Sacha worked for WWT for almost ten years, and led our 2016 ground-breaking Flight of the Swans expedition. Dan, a highly experienced paramotorist and cameraman, was an integral member of the Flight of the Swans expedition team.
Both have worked tirelessly to raise awareness of the impact of the climate crisis and the destruction of habitats on wildlife and people.
We send our sincere condolences to Dan’s loved ones. The thoughts of everyone at WWT are with the family, friends and colleagues of Dan and Sacha.
