Yellowhammer in Hedgerows
Good views of Yellowhammer this morning in the Hedgerow outside the Peter Scott Observatory. They are not the only small birds making their presence felt with Bullfinches and Goldcrests still being seen regularly down the Avenue and up to six Tree Sparrows in the Peter Scott Trail. There have been over fifty Whooper Swans on the Reserve first thing. It seems it is a lazy morning for them and they were sticking around the Folly Pond and field rather than flying across to the Whooper Pond.
Please be aware that due to ongoing Coronavirus restrictions we have a limit to the numbers of visitors we can accommodate on the Reserve. To avoid disappointment we advise visitors, including Members, to book online before arrival. Booking can be done via the Caerlaverock website https://www.wwt.org.uk/wetland-centres/caerlaveroc...
