About me
I grew up next to the broads in Norfolk, and so wetlands have always been a part of my life. Along the way I studied biodiversity on the Bure Marshes NNR as part of my Environmental Sciences BSc, worked as a Canoe Man on the Bure, gained a Masters in Environment and Ecology looking at the arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis, worked as a chef, and cycled from Norwich to Istanbul before finally deciding it was time to return to wetland research.
My project
I’m working on the multitude of threats facing wetland ecosystems in the Cambodian Mekong Delta. I’m hoping to better understand the threats and their drivers, evaluate the possibility and efficacy of solutions, and then to use that knowledge to help drive sustainable and just interventions.
