Explore Nocturnal Nature each day of Oct half term
Start at the Wicked Wetlands hut to explore the Nocturnal Nature Trail of sights, sounds and (ugh) smells this October halfterm.
Discover the real creatures of the night every day of October half term on the Nocturnal Nature Trail at Arundel Wetland Centre. In the safety of daylight visit the spooky ‘Wicked Wetlands hut’ to start your trail, then find trail boxes along the pathways filled with freaky feels, putrid pongs and spooky sounds from nature’s night creatures. The Nocturnal Nature trail is on October 26th through November 3rd from 10am-4pm each day.
Sign up on the day to dissect a real owl pellet to discover the tiny bones inside in special workshops. Plus dip a nets into ponds filled with wriggling mini-beasts, hand feed ravenous web-footed creatures (ducks) and make your own creepy craft to take home!
Arundel Wetland Centre is part of the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust and your visit supports habitats and wildlife in Sussex, across the UK and on projects around the world. Located just outside the town of Arundel at BN18 9PB, the centre is open seven days a week from 9.30am-4.30pm with the Nocturnal Nature trail, Wetlands Boats safari and pond dipping all included in your admission price.
