Join best-selling author Julia Donaldson at Arundel Town Hall for a fun-packed event to celebrate the launch of her brand-new picture book Gozzle, illustrated by Sara Ogilvie. Tickets include free admission to Arundel Wetland Centre on Sat 29 March.
Macmillan Children’s Books and Julia Donaldson, have partnered with WWT Arundel Wetland Centre to bring you this exclusive, seated event to celebrate this stunning new picture book. Gozzle offers a warm and witty tale of family and home, while also exploring the joys of nature. The perfect book for Spring.
Location: Arundel Town Hall, Maltravers St, Arundel, BN18 9AP
Time: Doors open 2 pm, Event begins 2.30 pm, latecomers will not be admitted.
As part of this partnership, your ticket to the event includes admission to Arundel Wetland Centre 10 am - 3.30 pm on Saturday 29th March 2025.
While booking you ticket you can reserve a signed copy Julia's new book Gozzle with your ticket - the price of which is not included in the ticket for the event- you will be able to collect your book(s) from The Arundel Town Hall on the day of the event, payment will also be taken at this time.
Julia Donaldson will be joined by her son and his family, and their actor friends as they perform stories and songs based on her many iconic books at this launch event. Get ready to meet old friends and new as she brings to life her much-treasured and well-known stories alongside new ones.
Unfortunately, due to time constraints, there will not be a signing after the event. However, pre-signed stock of a selection of Julia’s titles will be available to buy on the day.
Tickets are limited, and suitable for children 4+.
Terms & Conditions
- This ticket for the Launch Event for Julia Donaldson’s GOZZLE - with Julia Donaldson includes admission to Arundel Wetland Centre during regular opening hours (10am to 4.30pm - last admission one hour before closing) on Saturday 29th March 2025 only.
- This event is being run by Macmillan Children’s Books in partnership with WWT Arundel.
- Payment for your ticket(s) to the event must be made at the time of booking.
- All tickets are non-refundable and can only be redeemed on the date specified in your booking.
- Copies of Gozzle can be reserved while booking your ticket to the event. You can then collect your book(s) from the Town Hall on the day of the event. Payment for the book will also be taken on collection (RRP: £12.99 )
- Doors open at 2.00PM, the event begins at 2.30pm. Please arrive before the start of the event. Latecomers will not be admitted.
- This is an exclusive seated event for a maximum of 85 attendees, lasting around 50 minutes. Suitable for families with children of 4 years and over, no unaccompanied children.
- All children (persons under 16 years of age) must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Sadly, due to time constraints, there will be no book signing after the event. However, a selection of pre-signed books, including Gozzle, will be available to buy at Arundel Town Hall on the day of the event - provided by Steyning Bookshop.
- Please note that this event will be filmed, so cameras will be present. However, the audience will not be captured.
- WWT Arundel Wetland Centre and Macmillan Children’s Books reserves the right to cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances, including low numbers or inclement weather etc. In these instances we would contact you at the earliest opportunity and you would be offered a full refund.
- We recommend supplying us with more than one contact detail, specifically a mobile number, so that we are able to contact you if necessary. All personal data will be collected and handled in accordance with the WWT Privacy Policy.
- Arundel Town Hall Disabled Facilities: There is a ramp accessing entrance from the street, and lift access to the Atherly Chamber where the event will be taking place. Disabled toilets are on the ground floor.
