Autumnal mornings at Arundel

Good morning All!
It is setting up to be a beautiful day out on the reserve. The heavy dew highlighting the thousands of spider webs all over the grounds.

RESERVE SIGHTINGS; Wren, Cetti's warbler, Dunnock, Peregrines, Sparrow hawk, Wood pigeon, Collared dove, Kingfisher (wetlands discovery) Great tit, Blue tit, Long tailed tit, Goldfinch, Bullfinch, Robin, Blackbird, Coot, Moorhen, Mallard, Mute swans, Water voles, Pheasants, Canada geese, Nuthatch.

SANDMARTIN & RAMSAR HIDE; Cormorant, Grey heron, 47 Teal, 5 Shoveler, 11 Gadwall, Black headed gulls, Greylag and Egyptian geese.

SCRAPE HIDE; 4 Snipe, 81 Teal, 15 Mandarin, 6 Gadwall.

With the weather being so kind and looking at the records of last weeks sightings, insect numbers including butterflies, dragonflies and darters should be good across the site today.
