Bittern...... again!

The kingfishers are particuarly busy at the moment, wizzing around the world wetlands enclosure, by the long path and from the sand martin hide.
As water levels continue to rise around the reserve, good numbers of tufted duck, pochard, common shelduck, cormorant, canadian geese, lapwing and snipe can be seen in abundance.
The bittern was seen at 3:35 flying up from the sand martin hide area and flying into the reed bed.
All the usual little ones are being seen; longtailed tit, blue tit, great tit, reed bunting, dunnock, goldfinch, chaffinch, bullfinch, greenfinch, great spotted wood pecker, nuthatch and goldcrest.
