Easter weekend

Whats new? A handful of Swallows and Sand martins now being seen and the hatch of Mallard ducklings has begun.

Bumblebees were more active to day with several different species now flying, Tree, Buff tailed and Early.

At least 6 female Lapwing now sitting on eggs from the Lapwing and Ramsar hides and another pair on Arun riverlife. A pair of Oystercatchers still present from the Ramsar. Nest building Wren and Blue tit through the reedbed and a Water rail still present also.

A Raven put in a close appearance from the sand martin hide, putting all the gulls into a noisy panic.
