Nathusius’ pipistrelle found during bat trapping

Mon 24 September
Ramsar hide: kingfisher, grey heron
Scrape hide: 6 teal
Arun Riverlife lagoon: 8 tufted duck, 2 teal.
Tues 25 September
Wetlands Discovery: 40 house martins.
Lapwing hide: 3 snipe.
Arun Riverlife Lagoon: 7 tufted duck.
Scrape hide: 9 gadwall.
Wed 26 September
Bat trapping with Sussex Bat Group: 2 Nathusius’ pipistrelle males, 1 soprano pipistrelle female, 1 Daubenton's female.
Arun Riverlife lagoon: 9 tufted duck, 1 grey wagtail.
Meadow maze: bullfinches.
Reedbed (carr woodland): bullfinches.
Reedbed hide: chiffchaff.
Scrape hide: grey heron, kingfisher, 7 teal, 9 gadwall, 8 snipe, 1 blackcap, 3 shoveler, great spotted woodpecker.
Sand martin hide: grey heron, shoveler, tufted duck
Ramsar hide: 19 snipe.
Wetland Discovery: 2 grey wagtails, 1 reed warbler, 5 stonechat, wall butterfly, common blue butterfly.
Thurs 27 September
Arun Riverlife lagoon: 10 tufted duck.
Reedbed hide: blue tits.
Long path ditch: mandarin ducks pair, gadwall pair.
Scrape hide: 2 teal, 3 gadwall, 2 mandarin.
Sand Martin hide: 1 sand martin.
Evening batwalk: a noctule bat along the Long path, Daubenton's bat over Tundra exhibit. Soprano pipistrelle feeding near Wildlife Garden. Arun Riverlife laggo: 7 Daubenton's and loads of soprano pipistrelles feeding.
Fri 28 September
Arun Riverlife lagoon: 8 tufted duck.

Ramsar and Sand Martin hide: shoveler, Common gull, grey heron.
Scrape hide: 3 shoveler, 3 mandarin, 2 teal, 1 wigeon.
Reedbed hide: 2 manadarin (carr wood)
Offham hangar: 2 buzzards.

Arun Riverlife lagoon: 6 tufted duck.
Black Rabbit triangle: great white egret.
Offham hangar: tawny owl, 1 fallow dear.
Ramsar hide: 8 buzzards, common sandpiper, 2 snipe, 6 common gull, 1 kingfisher, c100 house martins.
Sun 30 September:
Ramsar hide: 1 shoveler, 1 snipe.
Sand martin hide: 3 mistle thrush, 20 house martins, 1 Cetti’s warbler.
Scrape hide: 13 teal, 9 shoveler, 2 Cetti’s wabler, 1 pintail.
Reedbed hide: grey heron, teal, snipe.
