Spring?

Although still cool this morning there was a hint of spring today with several species singing such as Dunnock, Robin, Great tit and Song thrush.

Several Lapwing were displaying and dive bombing Carrion Crows which is normally behaviour seen when there is a nest or young to protect!

A Kingfisher had the scrape hide full to capacity of admirers this morning.

At 3.45pm a Bittern was seen flying into the main reedbed from the scrape hide. A Firecrest also performed next to this hide at the end of the day.
