Todays Wildlife sightings

Birds of the moment are definitely the Firecrest and Treecreeper. Both of these birds are being seen on a regular basis in variety of places. The treecreepers are as you would expect around the wooded eastern part of the reserve and into the reedbed woodland carr. The firecrests are appearing in any of the more scrubby areas from the Ramsar hide to the Discovery hide and the wood loop.

Kingfishers continue to be seen with the Scrape and Discovery hides being the most regular areas.

Water voles are being seen more regularly as well, making the most of early spring growth and diving for fresh reed shoots.
