Wildlife Sightings

Great start to the day with a pair of Pintail from the Ramsar/sand martin hides. This was closely followed by a female/red head Goosander which unfortunately didn't hang around for long and 12 Wigeon, 7 Shoveler and around 200 teal. 2 Grey heron, 2 Cormorant, 10 Shelduck, 2 Snipe and a Kestrel also from the Sand martin hide. A Water Rail from the Ramsar hide was a more unusual sighting, not because of what it was but its location, on the new wet grassland!

The Scrape hide provided another Water rail, 9 Teal, a Cettis Warbler, a pair of Bullfinch, a Sparrowhawk and a Little Grebe.

More Bullfinchs (5) towards the Lapwing hide as well as Goldfinch, Chaffinch and a pair of Peregrines on the hanger.
