Wildlife sightings

Todays highlights were two Red kites, pair of Peregrines and Buzzards over the reserve. A Male Teal on the front entrance pond was an unusual site and a Snipe and Water rail in the reedbed.

Water voles were more evident today as were several Bullfinches feeding on blackthorn buds near the wildlife garden.

Chiffchaff seem to be in many of the willows with several singing around the reserve.

Lapwing numbers remain high with at least one female now incubating eggs.
