Wonderful wigeon

Good afternoon all!

It is getting a little blustery and wet out there this afternoon but we have are usual favourites and a couple of little gems today.

RAMSAR & SANDMARTIN HIDES
6 Wigeon, 11 Lapwing, 28 Common shelduck, 2 Mute swans, 4 Cormorants, 2 Canada geese, 5 Shoveler, 81 Gadwall, 29 Teal, 7 Snipe, 5 Pochard.

SCRAPE HIDE
40 Snipe (probably many more on the far side of the peninsular), 1 Wigeon, 8 Teal, 2 Common shelduck.

RESERVE
2 Buzzards, Sparrowhawk, Black headed & Herring gulls, Jackdaws, Magpies, Rooks, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Bullfinch, Nuthatch, Wren, Gold crest (along the tranquil trail next to the Ramsar hide, 3 were seen on the crossroads between World wildfowl and the Reed swamp exhibits yesterday), Grey & Pied wagtail, Blue/ Great/ Long tailed tit, Tufted duck, Water rail and Water voles.
