Latest Sightings - 1st March

Apologies for the late update, our internet has been down this morning.

It's been a lovely morning on the reserve, very calm after the storm at the weekend. The Folly Pond is very busy at the moment with good numbers of duck feeding. Our new nesting rafts are seeing some early promise, with Black-headed Gulls sitting on them in the Flood Ground!

The high tide could be worth a look this afternoon from 1pm at the Saltcot Merse Observatory. With no wind and a big tide it could be easier to see birds on the water, like the Red-throated Divers which were seen on Monday...we will have Wardens on hand to help identify the birds.

Todays high tide is at 15:06, 9.8m
