Accessibility during autumn and winter

During the colder months, the reserve can be wet and muddy so waterproof footwear is recommended. Those with limited mobility or using push wheelchairs may find traversing the Avenue and Saltcot Loaning unsuitable. Please call us on 01387 770200 for more info.

Reserve Update Friday 23rd November - hen harrier again!

So another lovely flypast of the male hen harrier again today.  This time flying across Teal Pond and heading south towards the merses.  It could be it's presence that was causing all the Lapwing to keep taking flight with up to 100 in the air at any time.  Some Shelduck have decided that the sea is not for them and they much rather prefer the Folly Pond.
