Reserve Update Thursday 19th October
Well things have settled back down again after the storm on Monday and we have been able to have a good look around. Whooper Swan numbers have increased with approximately 150 birds both on Whooper Pond and in fields to the North of Avenue Tower yesterday. A few new named birds have arrived back so please see below for update. We also have small numbers of Redwing feeding on the hawthorn berries down the Avenue. They remain flighty and slightly difficult to spot. Black-tailed Godwit numbers have increased with birds both on the Folly Pond and visible in the fields from Newfield Hide.
