Thursday 25th August - Osprey, Peregrine, Raven, Tawny Owl & a lot of wildfowl!
An absolutely cracking morning to be on the reserve.
Folly Pond is full of birds with Teal and Shoveler numbers increasing, a few Wigeon and Pintail arriving and a good number of waders now passing through.
An Osprey is feeding out on the Solway mud at 09:25 and a Peregrine is perched on a merse post.
A Raven has just flown over the Corner Field and a Tawny Owl has just flown through the Farmhouse Garden!

Osprey Webcam
The Ospreys have now fledged and are not returning to the nest very often so we will soon be starting our blog as we follow the satellite tagged chicks on their first migration.
As October approaches we will hopefully be switching to our winter webcam showing the Whooper Pond, where some 300 Whooper Swans will spend the winter.
