Caerlaverock, Sunday 13th Dec
Quite cold today, just about sub-zero and still pretty waterlogged in the avenues; wellingtons are necessary in order to access Campbell Hide and Avenue Tower. Plenty of Lapwing and Golden Plover in the fields affording close views, along with good flocks of Barnacle Geese and a smattering of Pinkfeet. Water Rail remains quite confiding in The Peter Scott Trail, Ring-necked Duck likewise on Whooper Pond and Green-winged Teal on The Folly Pond
