Accessibility during autumn and winter

During the colder months, the reserve can be wet and muddy so waterproof footwear is recommended. Those with limited mobility or using push wheelchairs may find traversing the Avenue and Saltcot Loaning unsuitable. Please call us on 01387 770200 for more info.

An exhibition by Artful Migration Artist-in-Residence, Angela Alexander-Lloyd

Exhibition runs: 29th April - 31st August 2018

Artist Talk: Wednesday 2nd May 3pm

Artful Migration is a residency programme being developed by Upland in partnership with Ginnie Wollaston of Moving Souls Dance along with support from WWT Caerlaverock and the RSPB.

Angela Alexander-Lloyd, an artist specialising in sound and video, was awarded the first Artful Migration Residency, which acts as a pilot to enable a rigorous underpinning for the development of the artist residency programme over the next 3 years. Between November 2017 and March 2018 Angela undertook a period of research at the reserve focusing on the Whooper Swans which migrate from Iceland to Dumfries & Galloway.

The exhibition is a culmination of Angela’s residency at WWT Caerlaverock and showcases a new body of work created specifically for the reserve.
