Goldfinches and Pintail

The Goldfinches and Chaffinches are absolutely loving the Meadowsweet seeds around the Reserve, particularly in the Wildlife Garden. We have seven Pintail that have turned up on our Folly Pond and are currently taking a nap mixed in with the large numbers of Teal and a straggle of Wigeon. Still good numbers of Lapwing on this Pond too. The slightly cooler overnight temperatures have seen a number of Mute Swans drop into the Whooper Pond.

Please note that the Saltcot Loaning will be closed next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to allow us to complete the final phase of our hedgerow management works.
