Latest Sightings - 28th October - back to sunshine
The sun is back today and the wind has dropped, making a lovely morning on the reserve.
Over 100 Whooper Swans were at the 2pm feed yesterday, numbers are slowly increasing as they filter down from Iceland.
Highlights at the moment are still the Green-winged Teal on the Folly Pond, Great Egret and Hen Harriers on the merse.
Barnie numbers have begun dropping, only 6,000 on the reserve yesterday. This is normal, as after their first arrival they begin to spread out to feed in the surrounding farmland as well.

The winter webcam is now showing the Whooper Pond. The first few Whooper Swans have already shown up and later in the winter we enjoy the superb spectacle of up to 300 of them along with a variety of wild ducks and geese at feed times - 11:00 and 14:00 daily
