The reserve has finally thawed after two days of hard frost and mist. We have been able to get out with the tractor to manage some of the rush on site, where it has begun to dominate in the Flood Ground. This will hopefully knock it back a bit to encourage Barnacle Geese and Wigeon to feed amongst it and open up areas for breeding waders.
