Latest Sightings - Wednesday 30th May - chicks hatching!
It's all about the chicks today.
The Mute Swans on the Flood Ground and Teal Pond have hatched cygnets. Four have hatched on the Flood Ground and we are just waiting to get a full count from the Teal Pond pair.
The Oystercatchers on the Folly Pond raft have hatched their first chick, still two more eggs to hatch.
At least three Black-headed Gull chicks have been seen in the Flood Ground on the rafts, and there are still four Lapwing chicks running around in the Lochar Field from the Avenue Tower.
Our Osprey eggs should be hatching any day now, if not already. We are having some difficulties with the webcam on the website, but will hopefully have it fixed soon. The camera is still working in the Visitor Centre so you can watch what's going on whilst having a coffee.
Today's high tide is at 13:42, 8.9m.
