Monday May 29th
A bit wet today, must be a bank holiday for some... As expected the Ospreys have begun to hatch after their 35 day incubation, with the first of what we hope will become three appearing on camera yesterday. A few Lapwing and Oystercatcher chicks about, the former largely on the merses. Black-headed Gulls are still sitting, as are Oystercatchers. It's been gratifying to see the uptake of the new nest rafts. A Wood Sandpiper was on the recently inundated merse yesterday but very distant.
Todays high tide is at 15:49, 9.4m
