Accessibility during autumn and winter

During the colder months, the reserve can be wet and muddy so waterproof footwear is recommended. Those with limited mobility or using push wheelchairs may find traversing the Avenue and Saltcot Loaning unsuitable. Please call us on 01387 770200 for more info.

Reserve Update Saturday 20th May

The Spotted Flycatcher has been seen down the Avenue for the past three days and was in the Hawthorn bushes once more again this morning.  There is also a lot of Long-tailed Tit activity high in the Sycamore trees...maybe some little ones up there so keep your eyes peeled and let us know if you see any!

It is nesting day on the Teal Pond with the Mute Swan sitting to the left hand side of the hide, an Oystercatcher on the raft out front and a Swallow up in the hide on the left hand side.  If you do go into the hide please go in quietly and try to remain to the right hand side to allow the Swallow to continue sitting in peace.

Todays high tide is at 20:27, 7.5m
