Accessibility during autumn and winter

During the colder months, the reserve can be wet and muddy so waterproof footwear is recommended. Those with limited mobility or using push wheelchairs may find traversing the Avenue and Saltcot Loaning unsuitable. Please call us on 01387 770200 for more info.

Reserve Update Wednesday 8th February - Otter back again!

The otter was back fishing on the Teal Pond first thing this morning....with displaying Teal at the back of the pond seemingly unaware of it!  Once again good numbers of lapwing and golden plover visible from the Avenue Tower, alas still no American Wigeon visible mixed in with the flocks of Eurasian Wigeon down there.

Todays high tide is at 10:01, 8.5m
