Soggy Caerlaverock, Tuesday 5th Jan
Currently raining, forecast to dry up a bit... All usual roads to here passable with no problems. Avenues remain quite wet but are easily walked in decent waterproof footwear, wellingtons ideally. Lots of water lying in the fields, so a good broadcast of birds, especially duck; those remaining on the usual ponds seem nervous this morning - perhaps that otter is still lurking. Our two American friends are still showing as per normal, with the Green-winged Teal on Folly Pond and Ring-necked on Whooper Pond
Today's high tide is at O8:33, 7.4m
