Tuesday June 6th update
Nearly two inches of rain over the last 48hrs and it's still coming... Spectacular numbers of hirundines hunting in the lee of the banking on the south side of the main avenue this morning. House Martins in particular seem to be doing well here this season, with over 30 nests arrayed under the Farmhouse Tower eaves. The Oystercatcher is still incubating on the Teal Pond raft, with the usual Mute Swan on eggs nearby. Lots of young birds in the avenues now and of course the three young Ospreys on camera via our website. Look out for adults returning with fish from the Solway estuary
Todays high tide is at 11:15, 8.3m
