Christmas Fair
Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November
We'll have stalls brimming with handmade local crafts, art, plenty of unique gifts from small businesses, and seasonal decorations for your home. Plus, lots of tasty warming treats, exciting raffle prizes and festive cheer. After the success of our first fair last year, we're excited to see that this year is shaping up to be even bigger and better!
It's a two-day indoor special event with breathtaking wintry wetland views to get us all in the mood for Christmas. All profits support our wetland conservation work.
Entry to the fair is £5, or free for members and under 4s. No booking is necessary; just turn up on the day.
Meet Santa
Saturday 25 November - Saturday 23 December (weekends)
Father Christmas is coming to the wetlands this Christmas! He'll be available to meet and greet children of all ages every weekend from 25 November until 23 December, between 12 pm and 2 pm. Book your exclusive appointment and meet the man himself and his chief elf in the grotto, surrounded by beautiful wetland scenery, with plenty of time to talk in English or Welsh, look at wildlife through Santa's telescope, and take the perfect photos.
With no queuing, no stress, and lots of peaceful space, this event is perfect for families with additional needs. Santa's Grotto is fully accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Each child's ticket entitles you to:
- a 10-minute exclusive appointment with Santa for your family
- a uniquely peaceful setting - perfect for children with additional needs
- talk to Santa in your preferred language, Welsh or English
- a quality gift to take home
- plenty of time for photos with a beautiful backdrop

Elf Academy
Saturday 2 December - Saturday 23 December (weekends)
Ho ho ho! It's time to enrol at Elf Academy at Llanelli Wetland Centre!
Young recruits can learn everything they need to know to become official elves, including:
- the latest Elf & Safety guidelines
- the spirit of kindness
- gift wrapping for beginners
- craft skills
Elf Academy will be running every pre-Christmas weekend in December (Sat 2 December - Sat 23 Dec) from 2 pm - 4 pm. WWT elves will guide you through our beautiful collection of birds to the special workshop in the Observatory for an afternoon of wildlife crafts, songs, stories, and wrapping presents for those who need some extra gifts this Christmas. It is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit and learn about the importance of kindness and generosity.
Once recruits have completed all of their training, they will graduate from Elf Academy and receive an official Elf Diploma!
