Local photographer wins first place in wetland wildlife photography competition

The winning photo - "Egg thief" by Wayne Davies

Local photographer Wayne Davies has won first place in the national Canon/WWT photography competition in the Wetland Wildlife category for his photograph entitled “Egg thief” - congratulations Wayne! The competition was judged by a panel chaired by TV presenter and wildlife photographer Chris Packham.

WWT have seen photography become one of the most popular ways that people engage with nature at our wetland visitor centres, and Llanelli is no exception. The Canon/WWT Photography Competition gives photographers a place to share the beauty and fragility of wetlands, while recognising the very best talent.

You can see all the winning photos for the different categories on our Photography Competition website: http://www.wwt.org.uk/visit/dont-miss-at-wwt-wetland-centres/wwt-photography-competition/
