Walk with a Warden - February
Weather and wildlife permitting, February's walk will lead us out to observe the overwintering wading birds, taking in their social behaviours, and feeding styles, and sharing tips to identify the different species. We'll also be looking out for murmurations of birds such as plovers and starlings.
Venture out onto the wetland nature reserve with friendly expert guidance on hand to help you spot some of the season's best highlights. Get insider wildlife tips and all of your questions answered. You'll learn how to look for the subtle signs and tracks you may never have noticed before and how to identify a broad range of different species.
Our walks with a warden are suitable for everyone. We follow even, accessible paths and tailor each walk to the group on the day. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned wildlife pro, we guarantee you will get something from exploring the wetlands with us!
The walk will last about 90 minutes but you don't have to commit to the full walk - if you're short of time you can dip out along the way.
No need to book, just be at the Info Desk for an 11:30 start.
