Summer is here, and we've got a fantastic line-up of activities to keep you entertained!
It really is a Summer of Wonder!
Join us at WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre this summer for a range of exciting events and family fun. From exploring the fascinating world of moths and minibeasts to learning about our feathered friends, there's something for everyone.
Daily Schedule
Majestic Moths: 10.00 am - 10.30 am
Come and see who has been lured to the moth trap overnight. Observe these amazing creatures up close (weather permitting). If it's too wet, we'll go on a minibeast hunt instead!
Moths at the Observatory hide. If wet weather, Minibeasts in the Discovery Room.
Flamingo Talk: 11.00 am
Learn all about our fabulous flock of pink Caribbean Flamingos and their fascinating lifestyle.
At the Flamingo House.
Marvellous Minibeasts: 1.00 pm - 1.30 pm
Discover the wonderful world of minibeasts through interactive, hands-on activities, including searching habitats, using microscopes for identification and much more. Perfect for young explorers!
Discovery Room.
Stork Talk: 2.00 pm
Join us for a fact-filled talk about some of the newest additions to our feathered family - the White Storks! Learn about their history, important place in human cultures and folklore, and what the future may hold for these amazing birds that were once hunted to extinction in the UK.
Meet us by the Stork exhibit near Top Pond.
Pond Dipping: 2.30 pm - 3.30 pm
Delve beneath the surface to meet some of the creatures that call the underwater world home and see them up close on the big screen using our microscope!
Head to the Water Lab area.
All of these activities are included in admission, which is free for WWT members. WWT membership is a great way to enjoy and protect wetlands.
