TV adventurer Simon Reeve in Conversation
WWT London Wetland Centre is delighted to present TV presenter and documentary film maker Simon Reeve in Conversation on Saturday 27 October.
Simon’s fascinating TV series such as Equator and Indian Ocean have taken him through more than 110 countries. He’s braved frontline conflict, hunted with the Bushmen of the Kalahari, dived with sharks, survived malaria, walked through minefields, tracked lions, been taught to fish by the President of Moldova, adopted by former headhunters, and detained for spying by the KGB. His TV adventures have been broadcast in dozens of countries, enthralling hundreds of millions of viewers.
Simon has a keen interest in wildlife and the environment and has witnessed numerous key conservation issues first hand during his epic travels. These include the degradation of important wetlands such as Kenya’s Tana River Delta.
London Wetland Centre events organiser Jamie Wyver said “We are thrilled that Simon will be joining us for this special event. It’ll be a great opportunity to find out what life is like for a travel documentary maker and hear about the wildlife and conservation issues he has encountered.”
Simon will be talking about his incredible journeys and answering questions on wildlife, conservation, film making and life as a TV traveller.
