Wildlife Sightings for 29th March 2025
Multiple Redshank and a Little Ringed Plover on main lake, along with a male Goosander. Sand Martins, Chiffchaff and Blackcap across the site.

The mid-March Water Rail survey found 12 calling birds across the reserve - reedbed, reservoir lagoon, main lake, sheltered lagoon, and wildside.
Wintering Bearded Tits arrived in December and can often be found in the main reedbed or the north shore of the main lake.
Dunnock, Wren, Robin, Cetti's Warbler, Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Song Thrush, Blackbird, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Blue Tit, Great Tit, and Reed Bunting are all now singing across the reserve, particularly in wildside and around the sheltered lagoon.
