Sandwich Terns over main lake. Kingfisher, Snipe and Redshank on the scrape. Yellow Wagtail on the marsh.

First Common Tern of the year seen on the main lake, along with Redshank, Little Ringed Plover and Oystercatcher.

17 April 2025

Oystercatcher numbers have tripled. Also Little Ringed Plovers displaying, and a lot more Reed Warbler singing

Black-tailed Godwit and Redshank on the main lake. Whimbrel flying east.

A Swallow over site. Snipe, Redshank, Little Ringed Plover and Oystercatchers all feeding.

Garganey and Wheatear on the marsh. A Swallow over NW. Over 50 Sand Martin and 3 House Martin over site.

Hoopoe reported on the marsh this morning. Three Yellow Wagtail, Dunlin, and a Wheatear on the marsh as well.

Garden Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler and Willow Warbler all heard this morning. A Little Owl was calling in the NW corner.

Two Little Ringed Plover's on the wader scrape, along with a Wheatear and other waders. Reed and Sedge Warbler heard on site.

Little Egret and Green Sandpiper on the Wader Scrape. Sand Martin and Chiffchaff across the site.
