Explore the night sky at WWT Martin Mere
In partnership with Liverpool Astronomical Society, WWT Martin Mere is offering visitors a way to explore the night sky at an astronomy evening on Saturday 6 October.
The event will start at 7.30pm and will include special talks entitled: 'Our place in space' and 'Stars life', before having the opportunity to look through telescopes and look into the wonders of the solar system and beyond. The event will include tea and coffee refreshment breaks.
Centre Manager, Andy Wooldridge, said: “Being out in the countryside, we can offer fantastic, dark views of the night sky. We did our first astronomical event last year and it was very popular with over 70 people attending. We are hoping for even more people will come along this year to enjoy the experience.”
The cost of the event is £10 per person and you must book in advance. To book, please call Belinda on 01704 895181. Payments can be made by cash or card.
