North West Wetland Photography Competition Winners

WWT Martin Mere hosted its annual photography competition, celebrating all things to do with our wetlands. We saw a variety of photographs submitted, ranging from close-ups of species such as birds, flowers, and insects, and beautiful landscapes.

This year, we hosted two categories, adult and junior. Here are our winners and runner-ups:


Adult winner:

Picture shows a flamboyance of Chilean flamingos. You can see the head of one within the photo.

Thank you to everyone who submitted to this year’s competition! Our winners, runner-ups, and shortlisted entries will be on display in our exhibition hall until 16 October.


North West Bird Watching Festival
