Southport Palette Club exhibition

The latest exhibition has been unveiled at WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre by the Council members of the Southport Palette Club.

The Southport Palette Club has been in existence for over 90 years organising an annual exhibition of work for residents of Southport or people who have an association with Southport. Recently this has been extended to residents of Sefton as the exhibition has become part of the Sefton Open at The Atkinson gallery in Southport. Next year will be the 91st such exhibition open to individual artists, 2D and 3D, based on selection.

The exhibition can be viewed at Martin Mere until 11 February and will be located in the exhibition hall. All art work will be available to purchase with a percentage going towards the valuable work that Martin Mere does.

WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre is open every day (except Christmas Day) from 9.30am to 4.30pm during winter months and parking is free of charge. Situated off the A59, it is signposted from the M61, M58 and M6.  The Centre is also accessible via the Southport to Manchester and the Liverpool to Preston line by train from Burscough Rail Stations.  Visit the web site http://www.wwt.org.uk/martinmere/ to find out what’s on all year round at Martin Mere and the other eight WWT Wetland Centres.
