Whooper swan and wild bird feed

Notice: As the weather gets warmer, our visiting migratory species will start their journey back home to places like Iceland. This tends to happen around mid-March, so please keep an eye on this page for updates on our final Wild Bird Feeds for the year.

Join the wardens to watch this amazing spectacle as thousands of wild birds gather to feed outside the Discovery hide at 3pm and the Raines Observatory at 3.30pm.

Hundreds of Whooper swans join the feed whilst you listen to the warden's commentary telling you all about these amazing birds and why they choose to spend the winter with us at Martin Mere.

You do not need to book for this event, simply go along to the hide for the correct time. Normal admission costs apply.

The 3pm Discovery Hide feed includes a live commentary.

The 3:30pm Raines Observatory is a feed with no commentary.

There will be a daily guide in the Discovery Hide from 2pm to 3pm to help you identify and tell you about the migratory species. There is no need to book, just drop into the Discovery hide.
