A Kittiwake, the 154th species of bird for the year was recorded this morning from the Ron Barker Hide. No point coming in to try and 'twitch' it as it was taken by a Marsh Harrier just after it was found..

Grey Phalarope showed very well in flight in front of the in focus shop before landing on Vinson's Marsh from the Ron Barker Hide, still present at 2.30pm. Other waders included a single Redshank, 60+ Ruff, 2 Dunlin and 600+ Lapwing.

At least 6 European White-fronted Geese on the reserve at midday but mobile with Pink-feet.

Short-eared Owl hunting late afternoon, at least 4 Marsh Harrier.

Goldcrest and Treecreepers along the Nature Trail in a roving Tit flock.
