There were no reports at all today of either the Montagu's Harrier or the Common Crane but new birds today included 2 Little Gulls, an adult summer and a 1st summer which were seen from a few of the hides as they toured the reserve. A Common Tern was also seen from United Utilities along with Little ringed and Ringed Plover. The Little Stint was still present from Ron Barker with 2 Dunlin for company. A very showy Barn Owl was seen early morning as it actively hunted around the Mere and from United Utilities hide.

A singing male Lesser Whitethroat was along the approach track to UU hide in the morning, with another bird singing along the boundary of the reserve the previous evening. Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, Buzzard and Marsh Harrier were all seen today.
